An SPCA event is coming up in Yorktown….
Every year thousands of animal lovers come out to support the SPCA’s Walkathon and Pet Fair, which is being held this year on May 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights. This is the SPCA’s largest fundraising event of the year, as well as the county’s largest pet related event!
This year’s SPCA Walkathon Dog Marshall is Hudson, a Terrier mix, who was rescued many years ago and who is still in search of his forever home. He has been at the SPCA for over 3 years and has made huge strides since arriving. He is our best trained dog at the shelter and deserves to finally find that perfect family so he can get the second chance he deserves!
The SPCA’s Walkathon and Pet Fair has something for everyone-games and crafts for kids, live music by Kacey or 100.7 WHUD radio, food and refreshments, SPCA adoptable dogs plus dog friendly activities for your canine friends to take part in and enjoy.
Even if your dog doesn’t handle crowds or like other animals, or if you’re a cat lover, you can still come out, have fun and take part to help all the animals of the SPCA of Westchester! There is still time to sign-up to raise funds online. Registration is not required to attend so you can just show up that day and join in!
