Kids are working with pottery to explore the Jewish faith in a new program. The youngsters are creating all kinds of designs that are fun and educational. According to the organizers at Chabad:
Children ages 4-10 enjoy a hands-on holiday experience when they attend a Chabad of Briarcliff run-program at A Maze in Pottery in Briarcliff called CHAI CLAY CLUB.
At Chai Clay Club children paint Jewish and holiday themed pottery, and learn about the topic at hand while the paint is drying. They will also be painting canvases this year in some of the Chai Clay Club sessions
With help from an instructor, they painted beautiful honey dishes and learned all about Rosh Hashana and reinforced their learning with a “go fish” card game. The children were thrilled to bring home the beautiful dish which was proudly showcased on their Rosh Hashana tables.
