BEDFORD Police Sgt. Melvin Padilla is back in town after completing a 10-week training course at the FBI National Academy.
Padilla studied advanced investigative techniques, participated in fitness training, and learned new management skills as one of 270 students from across the country and around the world. They trained at the FBI complex in Quantico, Va.
Among the areas of concentration were behavioral and forensic science, terrorist mindsets, leadership development, and communication.
Padilla was selected by the police department. His course was paid for by the academy.
“It was an honor to be chosen to represent the Bedford Police Department among such an esteemed group,” said Padilla in a prepared statement.
