Karen Miller, the owner of Three Dogs Gluten-Free Bakery in Briarcliff, is hoping to secure a $250,000 grant by the end of June from Mission: Small Business.
She is asking her fans to go to the website , then click on “Support” and find her business (Three Dogs Gluten-Free Bakery — remember to put in the hyphen, she warns) and then vote for her shop.
The grant is from Chase and LivingSocial.
Only 12 small businesses will be selected and Miller is hoping those who love her gluten-free breads, cakes, cookies and pastries will help her demonstrate how important she is to her customers.
Her shop is at 510 North State Road. Miller said she is would like to use the grant to fund an expansion of her baking facility and to help her market her homemade gluten-free goods in shops throughout the region.
