The town is holding a public hearing on its proposed 2011 budget on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
In late October, the town came up with its tentative budget plan for the coming year. The proposal would spend $25.4 million for the general, highway and open space funds and would raise taxes by 4.4 percent.
Ed Ritter, the town comptroller, noted in a recent story in The Journal News, that the town faced a number of fiscal challenges in 2011, including a $300,000 projected increase in the cost to provide health care insurance to town employees.
The town has posted a link to the 2011 tentative plan on its website.
The Dec. 7 hearing will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Town House, 321 Bedford Road in Bedford Hills.
