The SPCA of Westchester reports that one of its board members, Barbara Kobren of Briarcliff, has been recognized by the National Association of Female Executives and Entrepreneurs and Working Mother’s Magazine.
Kobren will receive the award for her work in creating Bobbysue’s Nuts, a company that roasts, flavors and sells jarred nuts to raise money to rebuild the SPCA building on North State Road. These salty and sweet treats are available in local stores and online.
“Barbara Kobren’s commitment to the SPCA of Westchester is evident in everything she does – particularly through her creation of bobbysue’s nuts!” said Shannon Laukhuf, Executive Director of the SPCA in a news release. “She is deserving of many accolades for her devotion and I am thrilled that her passion for the cause of homeless animals is being celebrated through this award.”
Kobren, along with 12 other women, will be honored by NAFE and Working Mother’s Magazine at a breakfast on Dec. 2 in New York City.
