There were some voting glitches in Lewisboro this morning when some ballots couldn’t be read by the voting machines, town officials said.
On the back of the ballots in Lewisboro is a local proposition asking voters whether they want to increase the town’s contribution to the Lewisboro Library’s operating budget.
The problem was that when people used the markers to vote on the back of the ballot, it bled through and the voting machines couldn’t read them, said Town Clerk Kathleen Cory.
But Cory said the issue was discovered shortly after voting started. Voters are instead filling in the ballots using ballpoint pens. That apparently fixed the problem, she said.
“The (election) inspectors had realized they needed to do something else. They had solved it themselves,” Cory said this afternoon.
