Learning about empathy at Briarcliff Middle School

Posted by: Seth Harrison - Posted in Briarcliff Manor, Briarcliff Manor School District, schools on Sep 21, 2010

Educator and author David Levine led an assembly for seventh-graders at Briarcliff Middle School yesterday. Levine was making his first of several visits to the school to work with students and teachers on learning about empathy. Levine, who will also work with teachers and students at the Todd Elementary School in Briarcliff, is the author of “Teaching Empathy”. Levine’s work focuses on building active listening skills, cooperative activities, and helping students to consider the consequences of every day social decisions. Look for photos in an upcoming edition of The Northern Westchester Express. View more photos from David Levine’s visit to Briarcliff Middle School.
