Voters in the Byram Hills School District are going to the polls today to decide whether to spend$2.42 million to overhaul the district’s transportation facilities.
More than $600,000 of the cost is expected to come from grants and aid and the rest will come from existing reserves. The vote is technically to transfer the money from the general fund to the capital fund. Because the money is in reserve, taxes will not have to be raised to fund the work.
The polls will be open until 9 p.m. at H.C. Crittenden Middle School, 10 MacDonald Ave., Armonk. More information is at www.byramhills.org.
